An educational gaming platform that combines engaging Unity gameplay with research-backed learning science principles to build mathematical fluency.
As SVP, I served as both Product Manager and backend developer, designing and implementing the learning algorithms from scratch. The system implements spaced repetition for long-term retention, automaticity building through progressive speed challenges, active learning via continuous problem-solving, and non-interference (guess prevention) to ensure genuine mastery. Tracks individual fact mastery through seven sequential learning stages with dynamic difficulty adjustment.
Features an XP-based motivational model with streak rewards and progress visualization. The game follows a cat navigating obstacles home by solving mathematical puzzles, supporting multiplication, addition, subtraction, and division aligned with Common Core standards. Built on AWS serverless architecture with a few hundred active users.
